 Crocothemis  dragonfly are  belongs to family Libellulidae. It is commonly called as Scarlet skimmer or Ruddy marsh skimmer.

Body  form dorsally convex, thorax dark brown with wings transparent. Yellowish brown colour. Antennae seven segmented, piliform types.

Wings hold dorsally parallel over the abdomen. Abdomen has a mid - dorsal black stripe. The species are medium to large sized. They can exist in almost all kind of water bodies.

Length - 40-44 mm.

Distribution - India (Gondia Maharashtra ), Pakistan, Jamaica, Hawaii, Asia, Florida 


Class - Insecta 

Order - Odonata 

Family - Libellulidae 

Genus - Crocothemis 

Species - C. servilia  Drury

  The genus Tabanus ( horsefly ) are belonging to family Tabanidae. It is commonly called as oriental horsefly or true horsefly. Class - Insecta  Order - Diptera  Family - Tabanidae  Genus - Tabanus   Species - T . striatus   Fabricius  ( Horse fly ) Large body, female bite animals which have scissor like mouthparts while male adult have weak mouthparts so males feed on nectar and plants exudates.
