 The red bug  Spilostethus are commonly called as Darth Maul Bug/ Milkweed bug.

Species - S.  hospes  Fabricius 


Body are medium size, with black and brown pattern. Head is triangular with a prominent median lobe, large round eyes and has black antennae. The thorax is flat wide at the base while anterior  is narrowed.Its common name is star wars character Darth Maul. Sometimes called as milkweed bug.

Size -10-13 mm.

Distribution- India (Gondia Maharashtra ), Asia, Australasia

  The genus Tabanus ( horsefly ) are belonging to family Tabanidae. It is commonly called as oriental horsefly or true horsefly.
